BreakThrough Physical Therapy (BTPT) is proud to announce that the following physios have passed exams and are now board certified in Orthopaedics, Sports, and Women’s Health, respectively:

  •     Glen Saldanha, PT, DPT, OCS
  •     Jonathan Belk, PT, DPT, SCS
  •     Nicole Hodges, PT, DPT, ATC, WCS

Board certifications are granted by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and involve a rigorous application and examination processes. Roughly 6.5% of the physical therapists in the United States are Board Certified in a specialty. Less than 5.7% of physical therapists are Board Certified in Orthopaedics (OCS), less than 1% are Board Certified in Sports (SCS), and 0.2% are Board Certified in Women’s Health (WCS).

The advanced clinical knowledge and skill set that comes with a Board Certification allows therapists to better treat the patients in their specialty and keeps them up-to-date with cutting edge research and technology.

“On behalf of the BTPT team, our sincere congratulations to Drs. Saldanha, Belk, and Hodges,” said BreakThrough CEO and Founder Jeff Hathaway, PT, DPT. “We’re very proud of the hard work they put in to honing their craft and becoming board certified specialists. It’s a true testament to their passion for their profession and their patients.”
