We Are Open & Ready to Help
Physical therapists are considered part of the essential critical workforce and have been given the green light to continue operating under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's COVID-19 guidelines, as our services remain integral in both keeping you pain free and away from primary care physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, and emergency rooms that are currently using all their capacity to provide needed services to more acute or critical conditions.
Because we take all extra precautions and follow CDC guidelines, our clinics are considered low risk of exposure. If you're suffering from aches, acute or chronic pain, strains, or sprains or have had to postpone a scheduled surgery, we can see you without a physician prescription.
How We Keep You (& Our Team) Safe
We take the health and safety of our patients, employees, and community seriously. In addition to continually monitoring CDC, WHO, and local health department guidance to keep the most up-to-date Safety and Health policies and practices, we have a long list of ways we are working to keep our clinics a low-risk zone.
- Temperature Checks
Upon arrival at the clinic, all teammates have their temperature taken. Teammates with a temperature of 100.0 degrees or higher return home, seek medical attention, and do not return to work until fever free for at least 3 days.
Our front desk team screens each and every patient for symptoms and exposure to COVID-19. Patients who meet these criteria will not be re-scheduled until after a two-week symptom-free incubation period, in accordance with CDC guidelines.
- Signs and Symptoms
Teammates stay home if they have COVID symptoms such as coughing, feeling achy, or difficulty breathing.
In accordance with local government mandates, all North Carolina BreakThrough Physical Therapy locations will now require patients and visitors to wear face masks while visiting our clinics. If you have questions or concerns about this requirement, please speak with one of our staff members.
- Hand Washing
We wash our hands before and after contact with every patient. All staff members wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds each time. Additionally, our clinics are stocked with hand sanitizer.
- Social Distancing
6 feet is the amount of space we keep when we’re not treating patients.
- Diligent Cleaning
We continue to be diligent with our environmental cleaning between patients. We sanitize all equipment regularly, and between patients.
